Not that I expect anyone really gives a fuck, but I doubt I'll be around much for awhile. I've already been sort of absent and distant (my apologies if I never replied to comments). As much as I would love to jump on some of the hilarious and ridiculous events that have been going on lately, I just do not have the time. And I don't have the energy, especially when it comes to dealing with morons, my patience with fucking retards and the levels of stupidity humans are capable of may have reached my limits. Seeing just how petty and idiotic people can be here doesn't really motivate me to create like it used to, it's sort of draining. But I'll be around when/if I have time, and hopefully can create some more provocative shit to piss people off soon And at some point I'd still like to start that group I mentioned previously, it would be a shame to let this enormous resource list I compiled go to waste.
God Hates Us All
There are no words. The world lost a great musician today. Way too fucking soon in his life too. Even people that don't listen to metal listen to Slayer. I'm not sure any band had as big an impact on the metal and rock world, and Jeff's shredding was at the center of such revolutionary sounds. Fuck the "National Day of Reason", today should become International Slayer Day to commemorate such a legend.
Thank you Jeff Hanneman for all you gave us, you will live on in your music.
Shame humanity
I already have a very low tolerance for conspiracy theories. Not because I don't get it, but actually because I do get it quite well. Paranoia is not a difficult concept to understand, nor is patternicity or assigning a sense of order to chaos to be able to grapple with difficulty or events beyond your control. Wanting to believe something (I imagine Mulder from X-Files with his "I want to believe" poster in his office) is a powerful thing, it's potentially comforting and gives a sense of purpose or drive, even if that belief is fucking insane. I get these things because I was not always a skeptic, I not only believed in god and demons an
Prayer is not the answer
Victims of gun violence don't need your prayers, they certainly don't need quotes from a violence filled book like the bible, they need stricter gun laws! "God" didn't save 20 little kids today, or the 7 other victims, he didn't spare the other students as some form of "mercy" (seeing your classmates and teachers getting shot in front of you is not merciful), he's not consoling the 40 parents who will now be celebrating Christmas without their children. Going to this nonexistent being, who would be an asshole even if he could hear you, for comfort during tragedy is like trying to dig up imaginary gold in an empty field when you need money.
Imagine
32 years ago today one of the most influential musicians and activists of all time was taken from us in the prime of his life. We miss you John. We sure could use someone like you around today. But your message lives on, through your music and through all the countless lives you touched and inspired.
